If lack of oxygenated blood is what causes the brain to lose consciencness then why couldn't we pump oxygenated blood through the juggler or other arteries in the neck... if the machine was hooked up to the neck, and pumping blood , it seems all you would have to do is cut the body off and PRESTO!!!! live human head, and you could grab it by the hair and wipe your butt with it too!!!!

OK, that makes sense only if you ignore a little thing called PHYSIOLOGY. The blood you pumped to the head would have to go through a machine that not only oxygenated it, but removed cellular waste and dead cells before they could become toxic, cleaned it, adjusted its pH and chemistry (there are a whole bunch of factors involved in this one, each of which may normally rely on a different organ or gland), added exactly the right hormones at exactly the right time of day, added exactly the right nutrients, supplied the blood with immune cells for fighting disease, and replenished the red blood cells themselves along with various other crucial blood components (such as platelets, so that your disembodied head doesn't spontaneously bleed to death)...even if you possibly could invent such an outrageously complicated machine, chances are good that the head would soon die from some factor beyond your control anyway. Our bodies are more than just transportation for our brains.

Pumping blood is not good enough, you need to perform all the processes to the blood that the rest of the body performs.
